Contact 6 solves problems for entrepreneurs, many more in May

Entrepreneur headaches, canceled gigs, and warranty issues – these are just a few of the issues consumers in Southeastern Wisconsin reported to Contact 6 in May.

One of those FOX6 viewers was Felicia Alsberg. When her father’s cancer spread to his bones, Alsberg decided to move the 95-year-old into his home. Before that happened, she needed a barrier-free shower installed.

Alsberg hired the company with the shortest time to renovate his bathroom and made it accessible to his father. She says what followed were delays, poor execution and poor communication. Alsberg showed Contact 6 how water drains from the shower onto the bathroom floor.

Six months after signing the contract, and after spending extra money to fix the shower, Alsberg reached out to Contact 6 in hopes of a refund.

“I didn’t have the time or the energy anymore,” Alsberg said.

Within two weeks, Alsberg received a check from the company for over $ 2,000. His refund is part of the $ 14,486.98 Contact 6 helped our viewers save in May.

An upgrade to his cell phone was giving Lamont Westmoreland a headache when Contact 6 saved him $ 950. Westmoreland was trying to return a phone by mail, but their wireless service provider kept returning it. Then he was billed for the phone.

“I said why is my money being held hostage? Westmoreland said. “No one really cared until I contacted you, and all of a sudden, I have someone who cares.”

Behind the scenes, Contact 6 case manager Annette also helped get a refund of $ 2,000 for windows that a homeowner said improperly installed. Contact 6 secured reimbursement for postponed gospel music festival tickets and canceled airline tickets, and helped resolve an overpayment issue for medical bills.

Mike Kirchmeier was having trouble with a warranty claim for a dehumidifier. He had been pursuing the $ 135 claim for 14 months.

“I was like, let’s see what Contact 6 can do,” Kirchemeier said. “Four days later, we got a check. It was that quick.”

Most of Contact 6’s resolutions in May don’t seem important: amounts like $ 50, $ 150, and $ 200. However, people who got their money back said it made a big difference to them. To find out if Contact 6 can help you, file a complaint.
